Ironing On A Carpet

Stay in each position for about 15 seconds then move the length of the iron. Apply light pressure with the iron. Rewet the towel if necessary to prevent burning. If the carpet is a wool one put it on high.

When irons fall onto the carpet there are three different levels of burn marks that remain. Sometimes the iron sits for only a second and the very tops of the fibers are damaged. Apply the iron to the towel moving slowly across the entirety of the seam. Rub it in with a stiff bristled brush and leave for 2 hours.
